Bible Journaling Lesson: brave & Bold

My kids got me asking myself some tough questions this week. The backstory: My oldest son is writing a short sermon to share with his peers in church.... His heart yearning to tell people how Jesus can change their lives in the most amazing way. Then my middle son I caught witnessing to a friend online... crying and mad because the kid wouldn't believe Jesus is real and can help him... {I had him mute his mic and together we prayed for the child.} I say all this not to brag; but to say it rocked my world... it made me look at my own walk and question, WHAT AM I DOING TO FURTHER THE KINGDOM? My kids are walking in boldness and with bravery, and what an encouragement that is TO ME and those around them.

BUT... What holds us back from sharing Jesus?

This lesson isn't supposta make you feel guilty (unless that's God's conviction and I'm not playing with that); but to encourage you... Pray for Bravery && Boldness... then find someone you can pray for and then don't just pray but be an encouragement to them on a regular basis! God will lay someone on your heart or set a divine appointment and put someone in your path if you simply ASK!

When you call upon the Lord, and ask for Bravery.... HE WILL GIVE IT TO YOU!

Matthew 7:7-8 says, "Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and the one who knocks, the door will be open."

Have you listened... I mean actually listened to the words of the song, "Same Power" by Jeremy Camp? {Click HERE to listen on YouTube.} The lyrics to that song really spoke to my soul recently and stopped me in my tracks.

Romans 8:11 says, "But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raises Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you."

The Holy Spirit is God's guarantee of eternal life for those who believe in Him. The Spirit resides within us now by faith, and by faith we will live with Christ forever. God has already given us his best gifts: his Son, his Holy Spirit, forgiveness, and eternal life! Knowing that, how can you not SHARE the gospel?
