Bible Journaling Lesson: Gratitude

Multiple times in the Bible, we are reminded of the importance of being thankful and continually expressing our gratitude to The Lord. Yet living a life of gratitude isn't easy. Like any spiritual discipline, it requires time, effort, and faithful practice. How do you practice daily gratitude?

This year (2023) I'm reading through the entire Bible.... cover to cover and a few weeks ago I read through the book of JOB. It was tough to read of Job's suffering. Job's story is challenging. BUT Even at the depth of Job's suffering, he engages with God. Job rejects the call from his wife to curse God and die. Job refuses to become bitter about his circumstances. He does not cut himself off from the ability to give thanks. Job doesn't deny his own pain; he uses it as a gateway to go deeper into his relationship with God.

Can you say the same in your life? {WHEW.... sorry, that may have felt like a gut punch. I know it did for me.} Its easy to be thankful when things are going well... but what about in hardship? in loss? in suffering??? What about when it feels like the world around us is falling apart?

God is our provider, healer, comforter.... He is always present. How can you show him gratitude today?

I hope that you have enjoyed the FREE BIBLE JOURNALING LESSON on GRATITUDE!
